Growing up in the 80's my younger brother and I loved loved Transformers (note: that is not my brother laying next to me - that's my wife. She likes that I like Transformers so our relationship is rock solid.)

I think loving Transformers was a rite of passage for all little boys and some girls as well in the 80's. We grew up in a poor blue-collar family on the east side of Pittsburgh, PA (GO STEELERS!) I remember clearly my mom taking us to Sears on the North Side Allegheny mall and letting us LOOK at the toys because she couldn't afford to actually buy them for us. At that point, I mentioned to my bro "When I grow up, I'm going to buy us ALL of these Transfomers." That my friend was the beginning...

A few years ago I discovered this GREAT website called Transformer World 2005, It had galleries of all these awesome Kitbashes. Custom Transformer toys painted and re-engineered to look and function completely different then it's original intent - pure awesome. Needless to say I quickly got into the whole Kitbash culture myself.

Along the way I quickly discovered that I need and wanted more. Wanted more resources, more parts, more tutorials, more, more, and more. That's how this entire Kidbash thing came to be. If I wanted more, surely other people must want more as well. So here we are - this site and its store are designed to help build, publish, and inspire Kitbash culture. Providing more for everyone.
